Breathing life into Blogging

Standing nervously on a crowded train in Central London. Desperately trying not to look nervous. Stupidly excited for what lies ahead.

Adjust my top.

Suck in my tummy.

Pretend not to be nervous.

Breathe.

Apply more lip gloss. I have so much of it on by now, I can barely form a word without sounding sloppily drunk.

Check the tube schedule for the umpteenth time.

Realise I'm on the wrong tube line thing.

Panic.

Breathe.

Apply more lip gloss.

Change trains 10 times.

Race manically to Britmums Live Venue with 2 minutes to spare.

Breathe.

Find Sew Scrumptious.

Insult her on being tall.

Panic.

Breathe.

Suddenly realise that the blogs I read every day are really written by REAL people... These people Breathe.

Scan the room desperately for bloggers I feel I already know through their blogs. Search my brain desperately for clues on how to recognize people.

Is that 'So-and-So?' She looks taller/shorter/thinner/blonder in real life. Did SHE just have a baby??!! How long is it since I read her blog?

Panic.

Breathe.

Spend a day and a half falling in love with blogging. Again. Listening to awesome speakers. Frantically scanning people's boobage to read their name badges. Walking up to total strangers with a big smile, saying hello, and hoping they know who the hell I am.

They do.

More people recognize me than I had ever imagined. 90% of people ask me where my bubblegum is :)

90% of people ask me what the heck a Lovebump is. It's a nicer name for a goosebump. There you have it :)

Realising that some people use their blogs as a creative outlet, or an escape, and they are absolutely NOTHING like they come across in their blogs. And that's cool too.

Get told numerous times I have the coolest tshirt in the world.

View Original Size??!! I have no idea where those words came from. This is the original size.

Relax.

Breathe.

Learn stuff.

A lot.

Laugh.

A lot.

Drink booze.

A lot.

Make friends.

A lot.

Vow to Blog.

A lot.

Breathe.

Was worried that you might think I was stalking you at one point! Thanks for getting me back to Paddington safely. I read that it took someone else nearly 2 hours because of the delays!! Lets catch up soon. xx
