My Face.
My face is in total agony. You may remember this post about me contemplating whether or not to face my fear and actually go in to the dentist for a checkup.
Well....
That appointment meant I needed FIVE fillings..
3 of which I had last Wednesday as in 10 days ago - and OH.MY.SWEET.LORDIE am I in pain. I reckon I've got a trapped nerve, but I've been back twice and they can't find the problem. I've had a second opinion - still no solution.
Eventually after actually stating I would prefer to BIRTH A BABY through my MOUTH than have this pain, I was prescribed antibiotics for Sinusitis .
Sinusitis............. are you kidding me???!!!
24 hours later and I can tell you this ain't no Sinusitis..... this nerve has taken.over.my.life.
I'm not one to moan, but Be-Jeepers.... believe me when I say this is on par with actual labour.
And Oh, would you look at that?! It's Easter weekend. Which means no doctor or dentist till Tuesday.
Face labour until Tuesday?????????????? Pass the Scotch.
Find an after hours clinic for pain killers, else crack open the gin. Hope you feel better! :-)
ReplyDeleteAw, big hugs to you lovely. Yep, hit the spirits and drink through x x (arseing dentists, I hate them!)
ReplyDeleteOh my god how awful! Brandy? By the bucket-load?
ReplyDeleteI had a similar problem once and it took a while to be fixed (in the end it turned out to be another tooth that needed filling but the pain seemed to be coming from a different place, apparently this is quite common and is called referred pain). Nothing seemed to work so in the end my doctor suggested I overlap painkillers; alternate ibuprofen with paracetamol/codeine every two hours. It's safe to do as long as you leave 4 hours in between two doses of the same ingredient, and it works pretty well. Hope you feel better soon x
ReplyDeleteOh no hun, really feel for you-tooth pain is THE WORST! I really hope it will by some miracle begin to settle before tuesday!x
ReplyDeleteOh no, hope you manage to get it sorted out soon! x
