So, if you're linked up to my Facebook Page, you will know that I went to my FIRST car boot sale on Saturday. Car boot sale virgin. I know.
It was A.W.E.S.O.M.E - Dave and I were in 'Magpie Mode' and set each other a challenge to buy something under a Fiver, then whoever makes the most profit by selling it on Ebay wins. Wins...erm... i'm not sure what the prize is, but because its my BIRTHDAY on Thursday I'm hoping it will be a trip to Paris.
Ho Hum.
So, here's my stash:
I bought this for my 'Fiver Challenge' I paid a pound for it. Clearly its not Genuine Ruby. Nor 14kt gold. But it's pretty. And I loved it. If it doesn't make me any profit, then I'll wear it myself. HA!
I have a weird sense of humour. I bought this 1950's postcard for my Dad. He's bald, and he runs a pub, so I thought it would be good on his bar. BWAHAHAH!
This cute little jacket I absolutely LOVE! It seems Brand New... Nice to wear with a maxi skirt or dress, and it's from GAP. The lady selling it said she only wore it once and it was too small (its not my size, but as long as I don't try to button it up over my bazucca's I'm ok. It cost 30p. THIRTY PENCE PEOPLE.
I'm seriously chuffed with it...
Oh what a thrifter I am... I could get totally addicted. Do you rummage through boot sales / charity shops?
I'm linking this up to Magpie Monday, click the badge below to see more sexy thriftiness!

I cannot believe you got that jacket for 30p. As a charity shop veteran I am thinking boot sales are the way forward!
ReplyDeleteI know!! I couldn't get my pennies out quick enough! Funny, I've just been reading a post about how Charity shops are becoming more expensive! Way cheaper than ebay too!
DeleteWow bargain, bargain jacket!!! It is amazing what you can pick up at a car boot, need to open your mind and sieve through a lot of cr*p but there is some great stuff to find.
ReplyDeleteSelling also can be fun too, my two children like it as they get to keep all the money from their things they sell. So money and de-cluttering all in one :-)
I know! The picture does it no justice. It's cropped and new and cute!
DeleteI'm totally hooked on it.... My kids would love a stall there - great idea! xx
I love charity shopping for the kids - because I can buy things knowing that eventually they'll grow into it. I've got a mini boden skirt for a 7 year old (my daughter is 4) which was only a pound! Tempted to put it on ebay and then buy her more things
ReplyDeleteWow, serious scores!
ReplyDeleteI love the bling? It is beautiful!
Are you joining in the linky over at Liz's Me and My Shadow?

ReplyDeleteCar Boots are the new Sunday religion.
Hope you haven't set your standards too high - those are seriously stylish boot-tastic bargains.

Great jacket find looks really nice, be perfect to wear when summer arrives.
ReplyDeleteI love the postcard very very cheeky !
ReplyDeleteGreat funds! Watch out though, car booting & charity shops are seriously addictive. You'll find yourself finding it hard to buy anything new again :)
ReplyDeleteNice finds, and a good idea to set a challange. No looking back now you've lost your cherry!!!
ReplyDeleteWow that Gap jacket is fab! And for only 30p I'm not surprised you're chuffed :)
